All By My Self

Gavriil walked along the edge of one of the dormitories. He was alone, scanning the campus behind his broad goggles. Where are all the others? I've been walking for a while now, and I've only seen a few other Malum... the rest better not all be invisible... Well who knows? Gavriil sighed and continued walking along the cement sidewalk. Another malum was passing the other way, so Gavriil instinctively lowed his head, to hide, what could be seen of his features, underneath his hood. He had long since developed this habit. Bah! What do I care anymore? That guy probably can grow wings or something... What does he care what I look like? Gavriil stuck his hands in his hoody pocket, and continued walking. He had not yet changed into his school attire, comfortable in his normal clothes. Gavriil scowled, yet it could not be seen behind the dull metal of his air purifier. The thing had long since ceased to work, but what could radiation do to him now? Besides the thin metal felt so natural on his face, he no longer noticed it, much like his goggles. They had become part of him, and no matter what he was told, Gavriil would not remove them, or his scarf to fit the uniform.

Ugh... there has to be someone around here. Haven't had a meaningful conversation since before I left Russia.

Lalette was walking around the dormitories since there was nothing better for her to do at the moment. And as she walked she noticed a strange figure that covered most of his face. She stopped for a second thinking if she should talk to him or not, since she was slightly unsure of what to do. Go over and talk to him. There's nothing to fear he's a Malum just like you, so he's not going to try to kill you.
She sighed then tried to walk as casually as she possibly could over to him. When he was about two to three feet away she stopped and said,"Hello. Um...sorry to ask but why are you wearing that face mask?" Her slightly glowing, bright green eyes looked straight up at him with strange innocence. Suddenly she remembered that she forgot to introduce herself.
"OH how rude of me I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Lalette Alice Rizzo," she smiled up at him and watched to see what little expression she could make out through his mask that covered his face.

(sorry if it's slightly short but I just woke up from a nap and I now have to leave to do homework. Math to be specific TT_TT)

Gavriil watched the girl approach through his goggles, stopping when she was directly in front of him. He stared at her eyes for a moment, not that she would be able to tell, and smiled at her question. He had been asked this question so often, he was inclined to ignore it. His attire was not too unusual back in Russia, but it was unusual to never take off his mask. What does it matter to her what I look like? Ahhh lets keep it fun ad keep her guessing. "Hello, Alice," Gavriil began, laying his accent on rather thick, "I am Gavriil. I am new here, and have yet to see many other... how do you say...? Malums?" Gavrriil smiled mischievously behind his breathing mask. "What is you 'do'?" Gavriil ignored Alice's previous question completely, he was only playing with her.

Lalette was taken back when she heard Gavriil call her '"Alice". It was slightly strange for her, almost unnerving for some reason. She continued to smile while she listened the Gavriil speak, almost missing the part where it seemed like he purposefully ignored her question. But she guessed that he just got sidetracked then decided to bring up the question later.
"I have telekinesis," she said. "See watch." Lalette looked over at the potted plant that was just a few feet away and started to focus on it. She began to glow as the plant moved smoothly through the air towards her. She then gently set it down beside Gavriil. "That's my power so what's yours, Gavriil," she said with a slight french ascent to his name. She had a look of great excitement as she looked up at the tall man, wondering what awesome power he would have.

Shocked by her forwardness, and he fact she had mad something fly, threw Gavriil. In Russia h had ment very few malums, most were alienated, or abandoned by their familis when the powers became evident. Many fledgeling malums quickly died in the harsh envorment.

Of the two malums Gavriil had evn seen, one was his brother, who had also been a mutant. The other had been an older boy, able to sense the emtions and intentions of all people in a small area. Needless to say this ability was rather weak, and paled In comparison to this glowing girl.

"Mmmm" Gavriil was noticably unsttled, but he swallowed and looked at the girl, "My 'powers' are not mental, as are your own," Gavriil had begun to trust this girl, she seemed friendly enough, he would show her. Besides if she seems so cmfortable, she must have been surounded by malums her entire life. Still, if he could get a reaction from her, that would be fun. "I wear these goggles to protect my eyes, they are useful for the night, or in the deaper waters, but they can not withstand sunlight." Gavriil bent forward as he allowed Alice to peer into the blackness of his goggles. He hoped to suprise her by making her lower her gaurd. When he was close enough, he brought up his hand, and snatched the metal mask off his face, the worn latches easily sliding off. At the same time, Gavriil willed his teeth to extend, and heallowed his jaw to unhinge, revealing his fearsome features. He stood back up straight and snapped his jaws a few times, then the sides of his mouth upturned in a wicked smile. Gavriil intended it to be friendly, but not much could look friendly with such features. H didn't try to talk, he could, but without lips, it was just a hassle, and he always sounded odd.

Lalette leaned back as Gavriil leaned forward. Her eyes widened as she looked through his goggles to see the eyes hidden beneath. She became so preoccupied just trying to look through his goggles that she almost missed the hand that came up to his face. Her eyes drifted to his mask as he removed it. Lalette jumped back and fell on her butt the second she saw the extended teeth and grim smile. She looked up with wide eyes and never said a word as she processed what had just happened. A wide smile came to her face as she started to laugh.

"I get what you mean now when you said that your powers weren't mental, they're physical," her smile was still on her face even though her heart was racing.

((oh fine! bring Kit down! See if I care!! lol jk))

Jax walked down the halls keeping his distance from the other students. He leaned against the wall and watched the fish face and the lightning bug socialise with his saphire eye sparkling. Neither of their emotions could work to my advantage... But they're just teens, why would I want to torment them emotionally? They arent hurting anyone... are they? Jax, your such a weak minded whimp! If I were your most dominant half, those two would be begging for mercey!! Jax rolled his eyes at himself and started to walk down the hall bumping into a girl who suddenly became furious and stormed down the hall roaring at the top of her lungs. "God Kit! Your not helping!! UHG!!" Jax flinched and shoved his hands down into his pockets and picking up his walking pace.

He strode into a dorm and sat down on one of the beds. Looking down at his hands, half of him felt miserable, as he did whenever he upset someone, and the other half was laughing at his misery. "I think I need a hug." He said randomly.

Gavriil smiled, and willed his features back to normal. Besides the faint marks on his cheeks, he looked normal. Still smiling, he stuck his arm in his mouth, and bit down. His sharp teeth, easily pierced the pale skin, and pain blossomed in his forearm, as blood dripped around his teeth. Gavriil barely flinched, and his teeth were no longer long enough to cause serious damage. He stuck his arm out to Lalette, and smiled again, "Watch," He murmured. Before his eyes, the teeth marks began to nit back together, quickly becoming small red pin points, before disappearing from view. A minuscule portion of his energy drained with the wounds, but it was so insignificant, he took no notice. "Comes in...useful?" Gavriil frowned at his small vocabulary. He could walk away from a bullet wound without much consequence, but explosions take a little longer... he thought to him self, remembering the blast that had wiped out most of his 'friends backin Russia. He had been out for almost 2 days, before he woke up, to find destruction all around him.

Gavriil, began to unravel his scarf, to show the faint gills beneath. "These are my gills, I doubt you could tell, but I hide them." He said simply. He enjoyed this, he wanted very much to impress this 'Alice'.

Lalette picked herself off the ground as Gavriil moved his teeth back into place. She watched with wonder as he talked. I can't even see the teeth anymore! Her smile faded into a shocked 'oh' face as he took a bite of his arm. Staring in astonishment as he held his arm out to show how it heals. "Amazing,"she murmured. I didn't know that it was possible to heal like that, she thought with awe. Looking up from Gavriil's arm to his neck she could barely make out the gills that had once been covered with his scarf. "So that's why you cover most of your self...your powers are sooo much cooler than mine,"she said quietly. "Wait so you can breath underwater? For how long can you stay under and how fast can you swim," she said quickly, bombarding him with questions. Curiosity seemed to get the best of her at that moment in time.

Gavriil smiled as he re-wrapped his scarf, and attached his face mask once again. "I can hold my breath for as long as necessary, I would assume, I never actually waited till I couldn't wait any longer," His voice carried through the thin metal easily. I can swim fast enough to catch fish, that's relatively fast, I guess." Gavriil tried to answer all her questions, but he couldn't help but disagree with her, "I wouldn't say my powers are better than yours, I hide mine for a reason. People like me... like us, aren't accepted in many places of the world, as I'm sure you know. When you're abilities deal with your physical self, it becomes a much bigger challenge to conceal them from others." Gavriil recalled much of the ridicule he had endured when ever someone had seen even a small part of his mutations. He had been seeking protection when he had joined the gang back in Saint Petersburg, reports of bullying malums had turned to counts of murder toward the end of his stay in the city. Still Gavriil smiled, aware that he may have drifted to a darker subject. "Um... Besides you can move things with your mind! How does that work? Do you feel tired after words? I do whenever my body heals larger wounds."

Lalette listened to everything Gavriil said with a happy expression. "I'm...i'm not really sure how my powers work. I just kind of focus on something and imagine it's path then it just follows." She paused before going on, planing her words before she said anything. "If the object is too big I will get tired,like you do with your healing, but if it's way to big then I... sort of pass out. When I wake up I can't remember anything." She reached down her shirt and pulled out her dog tag with her name on it. Then turning it to where he could see what it said. "I have to wear this to remember...I think it has to do with my name. I think it could be the key," she looked away with a dazed off expression as she thought of her past. All the times she had passed out her father had always been there. But that was long ago, she would tell herself. Looking back at Gavriil she had almost forgotten that he was here. "Oh i'm sorry for talking so much," she said quietly, while smiling softly as she tried to forget her past. "So...I where did you live before you came here," she asked, trying to move the subject to something else.

Isaac looked a little puzzled as he stared down at the thin card. “Isaac Liandri, You will be living in dormitory room 049, once there you may unpack at bunk number-,” Isaac stopped short. Unpack? Isaac lifted up his elbows and looked down at the ground as if he was missing something. The young redhead had brought no baggage, possessions, or anything really. All he had was two sandals and the clothes on his back. Isaac flipped the other end of his scarf over his right shoulder. Hmm room 49… He continued to follow the cards instructions and eventually arrived in front of the dorm room. Curious to see his new living quarters, Isaac took hold of the knob. “Erg... this thing is wedged in pretty tight,” he murmurs with his hand still on the doorknob. *Isaac looks around*, he breathes in and his skin darkens. In a flash the door is forcefully torn from the wall. Isaac releases his breath and looks down at the large plank of wood he now held at his side, “…hmmm...” After a couple seconds of silence, he carefully places it up against the wall (not really thinking of the consequences) and enters the empty doorway. (Time-Skip) After getting acquainted with his new living space, the Liandri makes his way down the hall.

Man, it’s like a ghostown around here; Isaac thought, looking around for any signs of life. As he turned the corner into another dorm room he finally found another Malum. Finally another Malum! Isaac approached, but suddenly halted upon the phrase-“I think I need a hug.”

As Isaac jerked back, the mysterious Malum lifted up his head just to realize that he was no longer alone. The young redhead did a double-take, “What did you just say!?”

"Nothing." Haru said as he looked down embarrassed. Oh crap, he actually heard that! It's my first day and I look like a loser already!?! He fiddled with his Ipod nervously still looking down. Prediction, he's gonna say denial then that I'm a baby... oh well.He tensed himself, prepared for any insult still looking down anyway.

OOC:hey Liandri, about the mystrerious malum that u mentioned, did u mean Haru? because how u described the malum is like Haru since he doesn't have any friends and stuff. and i checked the other characters and stuff. please reply back so i know who you meant.

"I used to live in Russia, if my accent didn't give to much away." Gavriil smiled, and unconsciously thickened his accent. "I lived alone for about 7 years, before I met a 'group' of humans. The leader accepted me, and together, we all got by." Gavriil wouldn't explain more, but his tone implied a deeper story. "Anyway," He continued, "After 2 years, they were killed." Gavriil's tone was flat, and he looked directly through Alice, not that she could even see his eyes. It took me about a month, but I arrived here yesterday, in one piece. I'm ready now to meet with people, for more than just survival." The last sentence was a little awkward.

"Well that's good. Making friends is a good way to start a new life in a different place." She looked away as she thought about the emotions she had when she first came here. Slight fear, nervousness, and some loneliness . Suddenly she jerked her back to face Gavriil, she had an epiphany. "I know! You can be my friend," she said innocently. Turning her head to the side she quickly realized how strange she sounded. "I mean if it's not too much trouble..." I need to at least become friends with someone. And Gavriil seems like a nice guy to be friends with. At least I wouldn't be alone... Ah who am I kidding. He wouldn't want to be my friend, she thought to herself.

Gavriil hesitated for a moment. I thought we already were friends... meh, I thought this sort of thing with out verbal acknowledgment. Gavriil made a face behind his air purifier. Not because he didn't like Alice, he just realized how long he had been silent. So awkward! Say something! Gavriil was accustom to making faces behind his mask. No one could see, so normally it didn't matter. "Uh, yeah, sure. That'll be, uh, nice." Gavriil couldn't think of how he could have made his answer any more awkward. "So, when did you get here? When i got here, I had to fill out some forms, but they put me through initiation quicker than I expected." Gavriil laughed, "I can barely write in English, so all my forms were written in Russian! I bet they couldn't even read it! Probably just sent me on through." Gavriil had played his Russian accent thickly, and he seemed to fly through the process compared to the others at the Sodality. While filling out his forms, he hadn't seen to many mutants, but he had heard of a crab-man. This intrigued him, it also made him hungry. "Any way what 'force were you put into? I'm in stealth. I finished up my initiation late last night, and couldn't find where I was supposed to go. I slept outside, so I don't know anyone else in stealth." Gavriil preferred to sleep out side, he had been doing so for years. Even when he was part of the gang in Russia, he had been allowed to sleep alone. He just liked the quiet, and the chance to be alone.

Nice?! So does that mean that he agreed, Lalette perked up immediately. A huge smile crept up her face as she listened Garvriil. He seemed to like changing subjects since he did it so easily. "I got here this morning and filling out the forms was pretty easy. Oh wait, so your in the stealth force? So am I," she said with excitement. "And tsk tsk you shouldn't be sleeping outside you could catch a cold," she said in a joking manner. She was pretty sure that if he could heal big wounds then there was no way that he could catch a cold. But it was fun to start messing with him. "Anyway, I was wondering if you knew where anything is here. Because i'm slightly lost," she said with an embarrassed laugh. At that moment her stomach rumbled loudly which reminded her of a small important fact. She hadn't eaten anything since yesterday.

Kit lifted his head staring blankly at the ground. He wasnt going to let himself be embarressed. "Nothing of importance..." He turned to Isaac with a warmer expression. His eyes shifted from his face to the paper he was holding and then around the room returning to Isaac's face again. "This your room?" He asked rising to his feet and rubbing the back of his own neck. "I'll get out if you wish." He held out his arm towards the doorway to suggest him leaving.

"I am not bothered by the cold..." Gavriil said simply. At the sound of Alice's rumbling stomach, Gavriil felt himself begin to hunger. His teeth extended a fraction unconsciously. "I don't even know where you would get something to eat, but i would go with you. I think we're supposed to meet with the rest of stealth group. I remember hearing about it after initiation. Until then, I'll go where ever, we can be lost together." Gavriil smiled

"ALL STEALTH FORCE MEMBERS REPORT TO, UH....." Printer lowered the retro megaphone for a moment to turn to the Malum student who was assigned to follow him around for a while. "Where we meetin' them all again?" He asked in slight puzzlement.

The older girl sighed once again and dragged a hand down her face. Her name was Jenny or something. Printer was embarrassed to say that he already forgot her name after introduction ten minutes ago. The reason that she was with Printer was because he still didn't quite know his way around the academy, and he didn't want to get lost. So Euphy was kind enough to volunteer Jenny, (unwillingly....?) to help the Texan from getting lost. "Printer sir, you're supposed to gather up your team members to get them all familiar with each other and yourself. After all, you ARE the leader of the Stealth Force! You can decide where ever you WANT to!" She stressed, feeling like she's already explained it to the Texan one hundred times already.

Printer nodded stiffly at the shorter girl. "Awrighty then..." He said quietly, lifting the acquired megaphone back to his lips. "STEALTH FORCE!! RIGHT HEEEEERE!! STEALTH FORCE??" He lifted his finger from the button on the megaphone and looked back to Jenny(?) with a hopeful expression.

"We're in the dorms, do you expect people to-"

"Well lookie over there!! I see some folks chattin' in the hall!" He said excitedly, grabbing Jenny's(?) shoulder and shaking it. He pushed her in front of him and forced her to walk in front of him towards the couple at the end of the hall. Once they were near enough, Printer noticed that one of the Malum's had his face completely covered up with a scarf, air purifier, and giant think goggles that reminded Printer of a bug. The girl had fascinating green eyes and short burgundy hair.

Printer grinned widely and raised the megaphone once more. "HOWDY! YOU TWO IN STEALTH?"

The megaphone was instantaneously ripped from his hands after he asked his question. Printer looked down at a scowling Jenny(?) who was holding the megaphone tightly in her freshly manicured hands. "What the hell do you think you're doing?! Are you trying to make them deaf?!" She hissed, as she quickly waved her hand over the megaphone, making it shrink down to the size of a golf ball. Printer pouted as she pocketed it.

Aw.... Printer looked like he was dog who was just smacked for humping someone's leg in a 'what-did-I-do??' sort of way. "I-I'm soorrwy! Ain't one of these new people hard o' the hearin'?" He asked innocently.

Jenny shook her head slightly, her hoop earrings swaying with the motion. "No Printer....that person is blind...Does he look blind to you??" She asked, curtly pointing to the man who Printer had unfortunately directly pointed the megaphone at.

Printer shrugged halfheartedly, sure that Jenny(?) would smack him if he said the wrong thing. "Uh..." He glanced up towards his thick goggles. "Maybe...?"

Jenny(?) turned on her heel and threw her hands into the air. "That's it!! I've had enough!! You can find your way around the rest of the building! If you cause anymore trouble, I'm going to step on you!!" She threatened as Printer watched her retreating figure. After she successfully turned the corner, the Texan slowly turned back to the couple, a little more self-conscious then he was a few moments ago.

"So," He gestured between the girl and the guy, "Stealth Force?"

((haha, i just made up jenny for the funny dialogue and process of explaining things.. her craft is that she's able to manipulate the size of things using her mind(i guess) So when she threatened to stomp on printer she meant either making him tiny like a big, or making herself huge to smoosh him with her high-heels! owch! ;3 I imagine her as a secretary or an intern of some sort. she prolly wont make a come-back! xD)) ps: her name is really Verona...

Gavriil looked at the guy standing in front of him. He just stared not saying anything for a while. He stood, towards Alice, but his head was turned toward the guy and girl, who seemed to be in a disagreement over the nature of Gavriil's sight. The girl walked off, this was disappointing, because she seemed to be in charge, even if she was wrong about his eyes. Gavriil sighed, and turned himself. "Ugh. I am in stealth force, so is she," He gestured over his shoulder, "I am not deaf nor am I blind, I merely wear all this," he gestured to himself, "to hide my more 'noticeable' features," His accent was thick, and his tone was icy. Great, now I feel like an prick... Well he did just megaphone my face... Still, the mans accent and good natured attitude won Gavriil over. He inwardly sighed, remember: 'make friends'. "My name is Gavriil, what are...you...called?..." Gavriil stumbled over the words more than he normally did. He grimaced, great now he thinks I'm an idiot... Gavriil stuck out his tongue behind his air purifier.

“This isn’t my room,” Isaac replied as he looked around the room. “My room is back there, room number 04-.“ Hold up!!! Maybe I shouldn’t tell him where my room is, I did tear down the door after all… “-uhh,” The redhead faltered, “It’s not of importance.” Isaac took a closer look, inspecting the blue and green-eyed malum. Wonder what this guy is capable of. Isaac moved closer, ignoring the malum’s last comment. “Tell me stranger,” *Crouches down to his level, face to face. “Who are you exactly?”

Right then a large Texan voice bellowed, “ALL STEALTH FORCE MEMBERS REPORT TO, UH…..” Isaac immediately turned towards the sound. What-the!? Isaac’s eyes returned to the mysterious malum, “ You a part of the stealth force?” Isaac questioned. The other malum shook his head. Isaac crossed his arms and stood tall, “Cmon, lets check it out,” Isaac said looking away. Both malums walked over to the doorway and gazed over at the group in the hallway.

Printer clapped his hands together enthusiastically, obviously pleased. "Great! So far, report says that they're only two members on Stealth Force so far! I'd reckon that'd I'm pretty lucky to find ya both together! Makes my job loads easier!" He said, unclipping a clipboard from his belt. He also took out a pen from on of the pouches on his hip. Both were provided, and expected to be returned, by Euphy. He clicked the end of the pen on the side of his helmet and lowered the tip onto the paper attached to the clipboard. He stuck out his tongue slightly as he struggled to write Gavrill's exotic name into a little empty box on the paper. "Now..." Printer said, his eyes still facing the clipboard. "Would ya mind givin' me yer full name, age, and craft?" He said to the hooded Malum. He stopped scrawling on the clipboard to look at the girl. "Oh! You too miss!" He said, jabbing the pen in the green-eyed girl's direction. He couldn't help but let his grin falter slightly at the unresponsive looks he got in return from both Malums.

Then, it finally clicked in his head. "OH!!! Forgot to mention this to ya'll, but I'm going to be yer new team leader for the rest of your time in Stealth Force!" His grin darkened slightly. "Welcome to the first day of the rest of your lives! The name's Printer! Best not to forget it! You have any questions....best not to ask me!" He said, grin still in place. Dagnabbit, I'm pretty much as new as all of these young-ens! He thought nervously, he didn't let it show though. He knew that if he wanted his team to respect him, he would have to show utmost confidence. "So, name, age, and craft?" He repeated with a patient smile, pen poised and ready to write.

Lalette nearly jumped when she heard the sudden voice that came from almost nowhere. Looking around she noticed the man and woman coming towards her and Gavriil. What the... "HOWDY YOU TWO IN STEALTH," the man said through the megaphone at close range. Lalette retreated a few steps away from the two newcomers as one fought with the other then left. Leaving her and Gavriil alone with the strange fellow. After a quick chat between the man, who called himself Printer, and Gavriil. Lalette felt the need to introduce herself to Printer, even if he seemed a bit strange. "My name is Lalette Alice Rizzo," she said reluctantly. Breathing in slowly she continued," I am 17 years old and I have telekinesis." She tried to be kind as she could but her voice almost sounded monotone. The reason was that Printer just seemed to scare her with no explanation. Maybe this unhappy feeling will go away when we become friends?

(argh shut up I know the post sucks but I have a headache and I don't know what to write ;_; )

Gavriil followed Alice's example, "My name is Gavriil Lathon. I am 17 years old and I am... uh... mutated..." Gavriil thought that was an unfair description of himself. "If you prefer to call me Angler, I have no problem. I was named by a group of humans back in Russia." Gavriil did not explain to Printer exactly why he was called Angler, but he assumed Alice would understand. "So you are like... Camp Counselor? I remember, back in Russia, I wasn't allowed to go to camp, it was for normal people..." Gavriil realized he was wildly off track. "Well" he smiled weakly behind his mask, "What do you do?"

Gavriil realized that no one had ever explained to him the significance of being in stealth force. "So, uh Mr. Counselor." Gavriil tried to peer over the clipboard to get Printer's attention. "What exactly are we supposed to do in Stealth Force? How many other 'Forces' are there? And do we get a place to sleep indoors?" Gavriil let his questions pop out as he thought of them.
