Since the beginning of time, man shunned the unknown.
What they didn’t know, they hated.
What they couldn’t understand, they feared.
And those who were different, were casted to the outskirts of society, known simply as monsters…demons…evil…
Yet others look upon those outcasts differently, seeing their abnormalities as gifts from God, things to be cultivated, enhanced, and utilized…
For good, or for evil…that remains yet unknown.
That is why there is The Malum Sodality, a society of outcasts, freaks, and pariahs, banded together by their curse/gift inflicted upon them. Here these special individuals are taught how to control their abilities and talents. How to hide themselves from a social order that so hates them and despises their very existence, and how to protect themselves from each other.
A society that is built upon the hatred of them, calls upon The Malum Sodality to serve them in their unholy and sinful requests. And for the far off dream of acceptance, these bequeathed individuals do their best to comply.
In this small academy, those who are unusual are cast into a dangerous world, one of sex, lies, scandal, hatred, war, and religion. Though they possess powers unlike any other mortal being, the constant question lingers…
Will they be able to survive in a world not meant for them?
